Music 10 - Hucks/Tessler
The semester in Music 10 is divided into two units of study: the first focusing on the language of music and the second focusing on performance. During the first part of the term we will explore music theory through the use of Practica Musica software and hands on applications. Students will be given both formative and summative assessments during this time to measure their understanding and application of basic music theory knowledge. This will lead us to build upon on the application of that knowledge through the playing of both piano and ukulele. At this time students have worked independently, with partners and in small and large ensemble settings. Students will develop their accompanying skills on both instruments. Additionally, students develop their listening skills through daily exercises exposing them to a varied repertoire of music.
